Your donation helps provide nutritious lunches and snacks so children can head to class focused, confident and ready to dream big.
When children move into our homes, they have to leave their old school. Switching schools, having to make new friends, and navigating new expectations becomes just another change that they have to deal with.
School can also be very difficult for them because they are trying to process everything they have just witnessed and experienced. It's very hard for them to make new friends and fit in, especially the teens.
These are kids who have left their countries, families and everything they've ever known, and are now learning a new language and the system that comes along with it.
